The picturesque village of Frikes is located in the northeast part of the island, 13km from Vathi. In the small port you will see the two traditional well-preserved windmills, adding their own beauty to the region. Small idyllic beaches attract thousands of visitors. Frikes are of great archaeological interest as they are identified the epic port of Rithros. Today in this small harbour you will see many private boats from islands near Ithaca: Lefkada, Kalamos, Meganisi and Astos.
