Mavrochori is a small picturesque settlement very close to the lake of Kastoria and 13 km eastwards of the city. It is a quiet village with a few rooms to let for those wanting to relax and escape routine. Every year at Mavrochori from the 13th to the 15th of August is organized a festival with cultural events. Every September the local trade festival is a pole of attraction for locals and visitors.
