At the foothills of Mount Psiloritis, 45 km from the city, lies the village of Zaros. It is one of the most beautiful villages of Psiloritis, boasting unique natural beauty. The area is characterized by dense vegetation and abundant flowing waters. A landmark of the region is the Votomos spring and the artificial lake from which the famous Zaros bottled water is sourced. The water bottling factory also makes a significant contribution to the local economy. There is also a trout farm in the area. The area around the lake is exceptionally beautiful.
