One of the most beautiful villages in the Lasithi region, it is built in a fertile plain and features a stunning beach perfect for swimming. The village is located 21 km southeast of Agios Nikolaos. On the same site flourished the ancient city of Minoa. In the area, a Late Minoan cemetery was excavated, where human skeletons were found inside large jars. The beach of Pacheia Ammos is one of the most popular sandy beaches in the region.
