Vathi is a small coastal village built at the edge of a closed cove that looks like a lake. It is 20km northwest of Chora. You can swim in the village¢s beach with shallow and safe waters, enjoying the peace of the surrounding area. In the village¢s entrance you will see the remains of minoic civilization, as and the remains of the ancient tower. It is worth visiting Drakos¢ cave with an impressive stalactite interior. Vathi has a few taverns where you can eat fresh fish.
