In the southwest part of the island is located the graphic fish village Diafani. It is the island¢s second port and the best spot of Olympos, the traditional village in Karpathos with imposing buildings, old mills and structures. You can approach Diafani by boat from Karpathos or by car. It is 70km from the capital. It is ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. The region is inhabited since archaic times. Archaeological excavations brought into light important findings that are now saved in the British museum.
