From Kastelorizo you can take a boat and visit islet Ro. Islet of Ro is located 3n.m. north of Kastelorizo and 2n.m. west of Minor Asia. This small island became famous from Kyra (noble lady) of Ro, the only resident of this islet, who for years, looked out for the island and raised the Greek flag every morning. Kyra of Ro, Despina Achladioti, as her real name was, died in 1982, in the age of 92. Since then the islet of Ro stayed uninhabited.
