Emporios is a small hilly village 8km southeast of Mandraki with a few permanent residents. It is worth visiting it and admire the green nature, the graphic settlement and drink a coffee in the traditional coffeehouse, with panoramic view to the volcano. You will see the remains of the Venetian castle of Emporios and the monastery of Panagia of Kyra, in a height of 450m. A unique natural site in the region is the cave in the village's entrance, which is considered a natural sauna, due to the warmth it has. It is a specimen of high volcanic activity in the island.
