Hotel Alkifron is situated at the sea side village Kala Nera at a distance of 18 km from Volos. It has been built by the Papoutsis family and after five years it has opened its doors in 2008.

Our hotel is named after an Athenian writer who lived in the 3rd Century B.C. Farmers, fishermen and businessmen told Alkifron about their life experiences and feelings and he decided to write all these stories in letters. Famous stories are the ones about writer Menandrou and Glykeras with his mistress.
Hotel Alkifron offers 10 comfortable quality rooms for 2-3 persons, where space, wood and atmosphere are the characteristics. We named every room after a mythical female; after all, this is the land that the Gods of Mount Olympus chose as their summer residence.
