Amynone” was one of Danao's daughters, king of Argos. The myth says that when Poseidonas saw the beautiful Amymone, he was blinded with her beauty and from their love Nafplios was born.

The hostel “Amymone” is situated in the old middle-aged and new classical part of the city, behind the church of St. Nicolas. The hostel “Amymone” is an old mansinn which was renovated in 2003, with special respect towards tradition and has been transformed into one of the most beautiful hostels with all its comforts.
