Linaria is the port of Skyros. It is located 10 km northwest of Chora. It is a small, picturesque harbor situated in a sheltered bay, protected from the summer meltemi winds of the Aegean. It experiences significant activity, especially during the summer months. Around the harbor, the settlement of Linaria develops, which, with its traditional architecture and the sea breeze, resembles a living painting. You can swim at Acherounes, with its beautiful golden sand, and at the nearby Kalamitsa Beach, which is ideal for windsurfing. From the harbor, small fishing boats depart to the famous caves in the southern part of the island, featuring impressive stalactites.
