Agios Vlasios is another picturesque village in Pelion that is well worth visiting to admire its natural beauty. It is located 16 km from Volos and spreads across an altitude of 300 m. The village¢s older name was Karabasi, which means "black head" in Turkish. Although Agios Vlasios has not developed much as a tourist destination, it is favored by Pelion visitors for the tranquility it offers and the enjoyable walks along its traditional cobblestone streets.
